# Getting started with SavaPage: questions and answers

If [SavaPage Server Requirements](https://www.savapage.org/docs/manual/ch-intro-sys-req.html#ch-intro-sys-req-server) are met, it is feasible to install SavaPage on a Raspberry Pi. Please reply to [this post](https://community.savapage.org/t/savapage-on-a-single-board-computer/144) to ask questions and share your findings.

SavaPage has a [RESTful API](https://www.savapage.org/docs/manual/app-tools-webservices.html#app-tools-restful). Feedback based on real world use is greatly appreciated. So your question is right on target.

To get a feel you can use the [POST /documents/print](https://www.savapage.org/docs/manual/app-tools-webservices.html#app-restful-user-print) API from your web application. This uploads a [Standard File Type](https://www.savapage.org/docs/manual/app-printable-file-types.html#app-printable-file-types-standard) document to SavaPage, after which it can be [previewed in the User Web App](https://www.savapage.org/docs/manual/ch-webapp-user-main.html). At this point you can manually [select a proxy printer](https://www.savapage.org/docs/manual/ch-webapp-user-main-print.html) to print the captured document.

A RESTful API to upload a Standard File Type document for proxy printing is _not_ present yet, but could be implemented if needed. In that case the proxy printer ID and printing options like number of copies, single/double sided, color/grayscale, should be passed.
